That wasn't the part that worried Peter, much. In his place stood a cocky, arrogant, foul-mouthed, sharp shooter. It was like he was a completely different person, gone was the ultra suave con-man. He stole Peter and Diana's service pistols and was doing a good job of keeping the aliens from overrunning their crime scene. Now here they were in the middle of yet another alien invasion and Neal was shooting at aliens left, right, and center. He would have never guessed that Neal knew any superheroes much less any of the Green Lantern's because as far as he knew they were almost always in space. Despite not having anything on him before he was eighteen Peter still thought he knew pretty much everything there was to know about him. Neal was learning to trust them and the team was learning to trust Neal. Jones told Peter that he was a lot less polished when it was just the two of them. Sometimes when the three of them were alone in the van, Neal would be a little rougher around the edges.
It felt like he was beginning to trust him and dropping a mask that he used around the others. After some long conversations with legal, HR, and El he let them know that it was perfectly fine -as long as it didn't cause any problems for the team.Īnd they hadn't, the two had been dating for several months now and if anything Jones was proving to be a calming influence on Neal. Not like it mattered anyways, all he was concerned about was making sure his CI didn't corrupt one of his best agents.
Neither he nor Neal had ever indicated that they might not be 100% heterosexual. Peter hadn't expected it when Jones came up to him and asked him if there were any regulations against him and Neal dating.
